‘He ticks all the boxes’ – Poch says this player deserves to win prizes

Heung Min Son was the hero yet again last night as Tottenham maintained their 100% win record in their new stadium.

After beating Crystal Palace in the League last week, Spurs welcomed Man City to the state of the art ground in the Champions League under the lights.

And Spurs will now take a well deserved lead into the second leg of the quarter finals thanks to Sonny’s late strike.

After the South Korean seemingly wasted his chance, he just about managed to keep the ball in play before turning back, beating one player, and smashing the ball under Ederson to grab the valuable goal.

After Spurs’ main man went off injured, Son showed that yet again he is the player to go to in Harry Kane’s absence.

Tottenham will likely need many more pieces of Sonny heroics over the next few weeks as Harry Kane could be set to miss the rest of the season with the ankle injury.

Pochettino had this to say on Son (Football London): “Yes I think he deserves it. He always smiles, his attitude, everything, he ticks all the boxes. If there is one player that deserves to score and win prizes it’s him.”
