Ange Postecoglou was delighted with the performances that Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall delivered in their first appearance at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against Bayern Munich on Sunday. It appears the Swedish teenager is also fine, despite some difficulty breathing on the pitch.

Bergvall and Gray both impress
Bergvall and Gray were presented to the Spurs fans along with the club’s newest signing, Dominic Solanke, ahead of kick-off, with the home fans giving them a fantastic reception.
While neither youngster started the game, both came on at half-time and impressed in the second 45, showcasing their quality on the ball and not looking fazed against world-class opposition.
Bergvall made a decisive contribution in the final third once again, setting up Tottenham’s and Dejan Kulusevski’s second goal with a perfect pass onto his compatriot’s path.
Postecoglou admitted that he was pleased with how the two teenagers did in the second half, insisting that both will continue to develop as they get accustomed to playing at the top level.
When asked what he thought of Bergvall and Gray, the Australian told Football.London: “I thought it was positive it was something tangible for us as a positive is that they’ve had that run-out now and they know what it feels like and playing in a full stadium.
“So, I think they both had their moments in there as well and look, they’re going to be good players for us, no doubt and the more exposure we give them, the more we’ll help them develop.”

Bergvall struggled with his breathing
Soon after setting up Tottenham’s second, Bergvall appeared to be in a lot of discomfort, but Postecoglou confirmed that it was nothing serious.
When asked what had happened to the midfielder, the Spurs boss responded: “Yeah, I’m not really sure. He said he was struggling to breathe or we had to sort of find out whether he swallowed something.
“But yeah, so I think it was nothing serious. He was alright.”

Many will feel that Bergvall has shown enough in the pre-season matches to warrant a start against Leicester City.
However, one would expect Maddison to get the nod and for the Swede to perhaps be used as an impact substitute off the bench.
