Speaking to the press ahead of this weekend’s clash with Crystal Palace, Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou touched on the topic of two new injuries in his squad, that of Richarlison and Ryan Sessegnon, and insisted the players will get the rehab they need.
It’s been a season plagued by injury for Spurs, with a number of key players missing at any given time, and Ange Postecoglou having to play members of the squad out of position at times.
The Lilywhites have made it through tough periods and are still in with a fighting chance of claiming a spot in the top four this season, but it won’t be easy.
Ideally, they would have all their players fit and ready for every game to give themselves the best chance of securing Champions League football for next season. However, Postecoglou now has fresh injury issues to deal with.

Richarlison and Sessegnon injuries are disappointing
In his latest press conference (via Football.London), Postecoglou commented on the injuries sustained by Richarlison and Ryan Sessegnon recently, and revealed what the future holds for the pair.
He said: “With Richy, it’s disappointing, he’s been a key contributer, how our season has gone, get one back and lose one. Sess is a tough one, it’s through no fault of his own, worked hard to come back.
“It’s always challenging when happens as series of events and he hasn’t had any reward for all his hard work of rehab in terms of getting out there to play. He will get the support he needs, he’s had surgery, he’s a positive guy and he’s been through this before so hopefully that helps.”

The Sessegnon injury is more a shame for the player, as he was just back after so long out previously, and I worry he will never be able to play regularly again. For Richarlison, it’s a real blow to the team as he has been a key player of late, but it does give other players the chance to step up.
