‘Here we go’ – Fabrizio Romano reveals player will fly to London to compete Spurs move

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Dejan Kulusevski will fly to London today to complete a move to Tottenham Hotspur after the North London club reached an agreement with Juventus.

It has been a frustrating transfer window for Spurs so far but it now looks like the club have finally completed their first signing of the Antonio Conte era in the form of Kulusevski.

The highly-rated Swede has not lived up to his potential since his move to Juventus and has found himself struggling for game time under Massimiliano Allegri this season (Transfermarkt).

The 21-year-old will now get the chance to get his career back on track under Conte at Spurs.

Romano revealed that the Lilywhites have agreed on a fee of a €40m (£33.2m) plus add-ons for the former Atalanta, including the initial fee and purchase clause.

The journalist revealed that Tottenham’s option to sign Kulusevski permanently will become a mandatory clause should Conte’s men qualify for the Champions League or if the winger makes a certain number of appearances.

Spurs Web Opinion

This transfer does not seem to have overly excited the Spurs fan base, particularly after the collapse of the club’s pursuit of Diaz.

However, I believe Kulusevski fits the profile of what we need. Conte will now have a lot more options in the forward areas given the Swede’s versatility.

The 21-year-old could also serve as cover for Harry Kane given his ability to play with his back to goal and hold the ball up, which is something our other forward options lack.
