‘Here we go’ – Fabrizio Romano says first Spurs arrival of the summer is close

Fabrizio Romano has taken to Twitter to utter his famous ‘here we go’ on the Ange Postecoglou to Tottenham Hotspur deal.

The journalist reports that Postecoglou will now become the new head coach of Tottenham, replacing Antonio Conte in the hot seat after interim spells from Cristian Stellini and Ryan Mason.

Spurs are said to have agreed to terms on a two-year contract with the Australian manager, but have an option to extend that for a further season should they decide to do so.

Romano added that there has been a green light on the final clauses and now Tottenham must ‘seal compensation documents’ with Celtic. After those boxes are ticked, Postecoglou can officially be announced as the next Tottenham Hotspur manager.

This comes just days after the Celtic boss completed an impressive treble-winning campaign with The Bhoys, ahead of his move to Spurs – who have been without a single trophy in 15 years.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Excited or underwhelmed, at the very least Spurs fans have to be happy about getting someone in right at the start of the transfer window. It’s going to be a big summer of deals and the manager needs to be in place to oversee all of that.
