‘Here we go’ – Fabrizio Romano says Spurs are close to another permanent sale

Fabrizio Romano has given his ‘here we go’ seal of approval to another Tottenham exit today, as Davinson Sanchez is getting closer to joining Galatasaray.

The Italian journalist says Spurs and Galatasaray have agreed a fee of between €10m and €15m with add-ons included, which is £8.55m – £12.8m.

Sanchez will sign with the Turkish club on a contract until 2027 and the medical will happen in Colombia over the next 24 hours, meaning he may well have played his last game for Spurs.

Unfortunately, this means his final kick in a Tottenham shirt will have been a crucial penalty miss in the Carabao Cup shoot-out exit to Fulham, but Sanchez leaves with lots of good memories from those early Pochettino years alongside Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld.

Davinson Sanchez and Tanguy Ndombele deals close

Romano confirms that Tanguy Ndombele to Galatasaray is also nearly a done deal.

Sanchez’s exit will leave Spurs with Micky Van de Ven, Cristian Romero, Ashley Phillips, Ben Davies, Eric Dier, and academy youngsters as central defensive options until January.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Spurs 100% should have signed a new centre-back in the summer transfer window. However, I would much rather give minutes to Ashley Phillips, even if he makes mistakes, than see someone be given minutes even though we all know he doesn’t have a future at the club.

We wish Sanchez all the best for the future though, and thank you for many years of service.
