Tottenham Hotspur put in a stellar performance to overcome Everton 6-2 at Goodison Park. The performance and the result was a real statement by the North London side as they showed that they are still very much in the title race.
The build-up to this week was dominated by speculation linking Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino to the managerial job at Manchester United but this performance by the Lillywhites certainly proves that the team that the Argentine has built at Tottenham is going from strength to strength.
The Merseysiders actually took the lead in the game but that goal seemed to kick Spurs into action as they went into the halftime interval with a 3-1 lead courtesy of goals from Son, Dele, and Kane.
The second half saw Son and Kane add to their tally, while Eriksen also got his name on the scoresheet with a fantastic finish.

This result puts the Lillywhites just 2 points behind Manchester City in second place and 6 behind league leaders Liverpool. On the back of this performance, Spurs fans will certainly believe that Tottenham will push Man City and Liverpool all the way.
