‘He’s a pain’ – Mourinho claims this Spurs star will be a coach one day after NLD win

Tottenham Hotspur head coach, Jose Mourinho has claimed that Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will become a coach one day, revealing that the midfielder is constantly asking questions.

Hojbjerg started the North London Derby this evening alongside Moussa Sissoko, them same duo that played against Man City and Chelsea in recent weeks.

Once again, the Danish enforcer flexed his muscles and came out on top against big-six opposition, defending for his life from the first minutes until the last.

When asked to react to Hojbjerg’s performance, Mourinho claimed that the midfielder was very strong but also intelligent and technically better than many people think.

Spurs signed Hojbjerg from Southampton in the summer transfer window, an acquisition that largely flew under the radar at the time, but the former Saints captain has gone on to become one of Tottenham’s best players this season.

It appears that Hojbjerg also doesn’t stop away from the pitch, with Mourinho admitting that his player is always asking why things are done in certain ways.

Mourinho said (Football London): “Pierre is first of all very intelligent. He reads the game very well. He’s going to be a coach one day for sure. He’s a pain, constantly asking questions about why we do this and that.”

He added (Football London): “Physically he’s very, very strong and technically he’s much better than people think.”
