‘He’s actually perfect’ – Joe Hart labels former Spurs teammate a ‘lunatic’

Joe Hart has heaped praise on Tottenham striker Harry Kane, labelling him a ‘lunatic’ who continues to get better and better.

After a slow start to the campaign, Kane has now hit a rich vein of form for club and country as we approach the back-end of the season.

The 28-year-old has notched seven goals in his last seven Premier League appearances (Transfermarkt), which has propelled Spurs back into contention for a top-four finish.

Kane continued his strong run in front of goal for England, where he scored his 49th goal for the Three Lions against Switzerland, taking him joint-second with Sir Bobby Charlton in the all-time scorers list (Transfermarkt).

And the England captain has continued to impress former Spurs teammate Hart, who labelled Kane a ‘phenom’ that cannot put a foot wrong when playing well.

Hart told the In The Stiffs podcast: “This lunatic is still improving. He’s still getting better because of his mentality and work ethic.

“He’s a phenom. Some people when they have good days they’re unplayable. When he has a good day he’s actually perfect.”

Hart spent just one season at Spurs before sealing a £1 million transfer to Celtic last summer (Sky Sports).

Spurs Web Opinion

Kane has hit such a strong patch of form for club and country which has put his early-season performances firmly in the rear-view mirror.

It was strange to see him playing so poorly as it just wasn’t like him, but his recent displays have shown why he is the main man at Spurs and the reason he is depended on so often.
