Emerson Royal has hailed the ‘amazing potential’ of Lucas Moura and believes his Tottenham teammate has the decisiveness to help his team win games.

Emerson linked up with his Brazilian compatriot at Spurs last summer after joining the club in a permanent deal from Barcelona on deadline day.

The pair have gone through mixed campaigns this season and have both bounced in and out of Antonio Conte’s line-up respectively.

However, the former has recently managed to nail down a spot at right wing-back with a string of solid displays to help move Spurs to the cusp of Champions League qualification.

Emerson was challenged with creating a five-a-side team comprised of Brazilian players who have played in the Premier League, in which teammate Moura featured as one of his picks.

Both likely have a close bond in the Tottenham dressing room and Emerson expanded on his selection, saying it was down to belief in Moura’s potential as well as decisiveness during matches.

He told the official Premier League YouTube channel: “Lucas is a decisive player, he’s decisive. He’s got amazing potential and he can win a game at any moment.”

Spurs Web Opinion

Even though Lucas is 29 years old now, he still seems to have some potential that hasn’t been tapped into as of yet.

You can see that he has the talent with his pace and dribbling skills at times, but we don’t see it all that often which can make him a little frustrating to watch.

But either way, Emerson was always going to speak highly of his compatriot and Spurs teammate.
