“He’s finished” – Some Spurs fans comment on rumours of disrespect from player

Yesterday was a day to forget for Tottenham Hotspur after they were comfortably brushed aside 3-1 by Liverpool.

The performance from the home side left a lot to be desired particularly considering that the Reds came into the match in a poor run of form and were struggling to find the back of the net.

Jose Mourinho made two changes at half-time, bringing on Erik Lamela and Harry Winks for Serge Aurier and Harry Kane, with the England captain being forced off with a double ankle injury.

The changes certainly did not work and it looks like Aurier did not take too kindly to being substituted.

The Telegraph revealed that the Ivory Coast international left the stadium at half-time instead of taking his seat on the bench.

Some Spurs fans on social media were furious at the right-back’s antics and insisted that it might be the end of his time at the club.

However, others have stated that they do not blame Aurier for being upset at Mourinho’s decision to take him off and keep Matt Doherty on.

Here’s how some Tottenham fans reacted to the report:

It is difficult to comment on Aurier’s actions when we do not know what exactly went on in the changing room at half time. However, if it is true that he left the stadium, then Jose Mourinho is unlikely to take kindly to that, being the disciplinarian that he is.

  1. I’d have to agree with the people saying I don’t blame him for leaving. I would of been furious if Mourinho took me off & kept Doherty on, who was shocking as usual, also why bring Vinicius to the club as Kanes backup & not play him when Kane is injured, if he doesn’t fancy him why on earth bring him to the club,to bring on Lamela in front of bale was another joke. When are we going to stop hearing about individual mistakes,,He picked the side, He made the subs, when are people going to realise Mourinho needs millions & millions to succeed, Pochettino had nothing & look what he achieved in 5 1/2 years, as for the treatment of Dele, disgraceful, Mourinho is finished & has been for the last 3 jobs. Time for him to go.
    Great article

  2. There’s to much rubbish in the Spurs side and that includes the MANAGER.Who in their right mind after Kane got injured and coming out with the replacements of Winks who is useless and Lamella at half time when you have a direct replacement for Kane in Vinicius with Bale and Moura who would have gave Liverpool something to think about.Mourinho’s tactics are pathetic and as for our defence and others we need a total clear out,Dier,Doherty,Davies,Sanchez,Winks and although Loris is a good shot stopper he is rubbish at claiming the ball.We are in deep trouble,i said at the time Mourinho was a bad choice and it is and i fear it could be the last straw for the likes of Kane,Son and co and they would leave and i don’t blame them.
