Some Spurs fans on social media love how Jose Mourinho took a dig at Arsene Wenger when asked about why he did not feature in the former Arsenal man’s book.
Wenger, who managed Tottenham’s North London rivals for 22 years before parting ways in 2018, has released a new book titled ‘My Life in Red and White’ chronicling his journey in charge of the Gunners.
The former Arsenal man has always had a frosty relationship with Mourinho, with the Spurs boss often taking digs at Wenger in the past.
Mourinho’s boasts of an excellent record against Wenger but, despite their rivalry, the current Tottenham head coach does not get a single mention in Wenger’s book.
When Mourinho was asked in this afternoon’s press conference why he did not feature in the book, he insisted that it was because the former Arsenal boss never managed to beat him.
He told Football.London: “Because he never beat me. You are not going to do a chapter about 13 or 14 matches that you never win so why should he speak about me in his book.
“A book is a thing to make you happy and proud so I perfectly understand the situation.”
Some Spurs fans were delighted to see Mourinho put Wenger in his place. Here’s how they reacted to the 57-year-old’s comments:
Just so true. Love our manager.

Spurs Web Opinion
It is fair to say that this is perhaps why Mourinho divides opinion among football fans. While some will absolutely love that comment, others will think that it was an unnecessary dig at a man who has retired from management. However, one can certainly understand why this would be music to Spurs fans’ years, and in fairness to Jose, he is not wrong about what he said.
