‘He’s so good’ – Some Spurs fans react to star’s solo effort for national team

Some Spurs fans on social media raved about Son Heung-min’s solo effort for South Korea against the United Arab Emirates that came off the post.

Son captained his country to a 1-0 win over the UAE in Seoul on Thursday, a result that takes South Korea to second in Group A of the Asian round of the World Cup qualifiers.

Son and South Korea are now well on course to qualify for Qatar as they sit on 11 points, just two behind group leaders Iran.

Although the Tottenham man did not get on the scoresheet, he struck the woodwork twice on Thursday.

One of those efforts was particularly mesmerizing, with the 29-year-old picking the ball up in midfield and dribbling past almost the entirety of the UAE backline before striking the foot of the post.

South Korea’s breakthrough eventually came from Wolves striker Hwang Hee-chan, who kept his nerve to convert from the spot.

Here’s how some Tottenham fans reacted to Son’s mazy run and effort:

With South Korea travelling to Iraq for a World Cup qualifier on Tuesday, one would expect Son to play all 90 minutes in that game too, even though Paulo Bento’s side could get the job done without their star-man. Hopefully, Son comes back to Hotspur Way unscathed from the international break.
