Heung-min Son breaks Eden Hazard’s Chelsea record in 20 fewer matches

The Daily Express have revealed that Son Heung-min has now surpassed Eden Hazard’s goal tally for Chelsea in twenty fewer games than the Belgian.

Son has been in terrific form over recent weeks and has been tearing defences apart in tandem with Harry Kane and Dejan Kulusevski.

The South Korean was at his clinical and devastating best at Villa Park on Saturday as he netted a hat-trick to help the Lilywhites emerge with a 4-0 win.

His hat-trick means the 29-year-old is just three behind Mohamed Salah in the race for the Golden Boot (Premierleague.com).

The Express have now revealed that Son has now taken his goal tally in the Premier League to 87 following his trio of goals against Steven Gerrard’s men, going past Hazard’s total of 85 during his time at Stamford Bridge.

The Tottenham man has managed to do so in just 225 games while Hazard took 245 games to reach his number.

Hazard is widely accepted to be a modern-day Premier League legend and the fact that Son has outscored him, despite arguably playing in a worse team, shows just how good the South Korean has been. Son deserves to be recognised as one of the best forwards in world football.
