While Harry Kane has now officially left Tottenham, it seems Heung-min Son is more than happy to stay at the club and continue improving.
The South Korean star has been with Spurs since 2015 and has now racked up 145 goals and 80 assists in 372 appearances for the Lilywhites (Transfermarkt).
After leading Tottenham to a top-four finish and securing a share of the Premier League Golden Boot award in the 2021/22 campaign, it was a disappointing season last time out for Heung-min Son.
With ten goals and six assists in the league last term (Transfermarkt), Son was one of the main underperformers as Spurs slumped to an eighth-placed finish in the Premier League.
There is an expectation that Son, now fully fit after some issues last year, could flourish once more under new manager Ange Postecoglou.
Meanwhile, his Spurs teammate, Harry Kane, has finally left Tottenham after almost two decades at the club, completing a move to Bayern Munich today.

Whether Kane will find success or not in Germany remains to be seen, but one player who is going nowhere is Heung-min Son.
The 31-year-old told Hayters TV: “I dreamed to play in the Premier League, I feel like I still have work to do in the Premier League.
“Obviously, I can still improve at my age, so this is what I aim for. Not every player gets the opportunity to play in the Premier League so I want to stay as long as possible to be here and to be successful and give my all.”

Sonny still has at least a couple of years at the top level and he will very likely spend that time with Spurs. It will be interesting to see how he steps up in the absence of Kane. Can he be Tottenham’s new main man?
