Heung-min Son comments on his partnership with Harry Kane

Heung-min Son and Harry Kane have arguably become the most feared duo in the Premier League this season.

While both players have been among the most consistent forwards in the league for the best part of the last five years, it is fair to say that they are now as deadly as they have ever been as a partnership.

Kane has assisted five of Son’s six goals in the Premier League so far, this season with the former leading the assist charts and the latter leading the goal-scoring charts (Premierleague.com).

While some put their success as a pair down to the tactical modifications made by Jose Mourinho, it is clear that Son and Kane have developed an almost telepathic understanding.

Son’s admission after the 6-1 win thrashing of Manchester United last week that he knew Kane was going to take a quick free-kick from the way he picked the ball up, demonstrates just how well the two players know each other.

Son has now opened up on the understanding that he and Kane share both on and off the pitch.

In a video interview hosted by Amazon Prime Video (as relayed by Donga), the South Korean said: “We have come to understand each other so well after five years together in Tottenham.

“He and I are on good terms. We even go to airports together for away games.”
