Heung-min Son moves past Christian Eriksen in the table for Tottenham in the Premier League, with the Spurs captain now closing in on number one place.

Heung-min Son grabbed two assists against Brentford
Son, like many of Tottenham’s players, has had the best of starts to the season and has looked a bit short of the levels we have come to expect for him.
However, the 32-year-old showed signs against Brentford that he is coming back to his best, being quite lively down the left and combining well with the likes of James Maddison and Dominic Solanke.
Son would have been disappointed not to get on the scoresheet, with the South Korean being uncharacteristically undecisive when he went through on goal on a couple of occasions.
However, he did make the difference for the home side in the final third, setting up Brennan Johnson’s and James Maddison’s strikes.
His assist for the latter was particularly masterful, with Son playing a nutmeg pass onto Maddison’s path before the attacking midfielder chipped the goalkeeper.

Sonny is closing in on Tottenham’s assist record
Those two assists mean that the Tottenham forward now has 63 assists for the Lilywhites, passing Christian Eriksen’s tally of 62.
According to Sqawka, Son is now just four short of the tally of Spurs’ record assist holder in the Premier League, Darren Anderton.
Spurs Web Opinion
While a lot is said about Son’s goalscoring exploits, the forward does not get enough credit for the goals he sets up, with the 32-year-old not only being unselfish but also extremely aware of what’s around him and being a master at through balls and crosses.
