Heung Min Son reacts to drawing Bayern in the Champions League

There are some footballers who just relish big nights under the lights in the Champions League and Heung Min Son is one of those players.

The South Korean star stepped up in a big way in the absence of Harry Kane in Europe last season, scoring three against Man City in the quarter-finals across two legs.

Spurs endured a group of death last season with Barca, PSV, and Inter Milan, but things look to be a little easier on the eye this time around.

Tottenham were drawn against Bayern Munich, Olympiacos, and Red Star Belgrade in the 2019/20 group stage.

Heung Min Son knows all about playing against Bayern Munich from his time in Germany with Bayer Leverkusen, and he is already excited to take them on this year.

He is also keen to learn from Tottenham’s run last year, in which they made it all the way to the final in Madrid.

Son said: “Bayern will be special because they are one of the biggest teams in Europe, you’re always excited to play in this competition against these teams. We need to remember and learn from what we did last year.”
