Amidst reports linking Heung-min Son with a move to the Saudi Pro League this summer, a new report has now provided a big update regarding Al-Hilal’s pursuit of the Tottenham captain.
The South Korean is 32 years of age and has just one year left on his Tottenham contract. If he does leave Spurs this summer, he will do so as the Europa League champion, having become the first captain since Ledley King in 2008 to hoist silverware.
His exit appears more than just a small possibility, with reports indicating that Tottenham may cash in on Son amidst interest from Saudi Arabia.
According to some sources, Al-Nassr and other Saudi clubs are keen on adding Son to their squad as the competition’s organisers look to attract more star names to the Middle East.

Al-Hilal have now approached Tottenham’s Heung-min Son
According to a report in Foot Mercato, Al-Hilal have now made an approach to the Tottenham man regarding a summer transfer.
The report claims that they contacted Son’s representatives about a move but does not reveal if they received any encouragement to push ahead with an offer.
It is explained that the Riyadh-based club want to add a world-class forward to their squad this summer and the Spurs man is not the only one they have approached.
They have compiled a big list of potential transfer targets and have also spoken to the representatives of Viktor Gyokeres, Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz and Jadon Sancho.
How Son feels about a move to Saudi Arabia
It was reported by The Times last week that Son will need some convincing to agree on a move to Saudi Arabia this summer.
The outlet pointed out that he had turned down big-money offers from the Middle East last summer as he felt he had unfinished business in the Premier League.
However, The Telegraph claimed that after the end of the season, Son had left his teammates with the impression that he might leave Spurs. That suggests that the long-serving Tottenham star could now be more open to a move to the Saudi Pro League than he was 12 months ago.
Heung-min Son also refused to rule out a shock Tottenham exit this week, stating that he needs to ‘wait and see’ what happens over the summer.
