Heung-min Son responds to rumours Mourinho is losing Spurs dressing room

The Daily Mail recently reported that Jose Mourinho is under ‘increasing scrutiny’ amidst a poor run of form in charge of Tottenham Hotspur.

The same report indicated that some players have ‘grown irritated’ by Mourinho’s approach in North London, with there being several disillusioned players.

However, the article did also add that the majority of the Tottenham squad were generally supportive of The Special One, despite the poor form.

Tottenham now prepare to face Wolfsberger AC in a Europa League two-leg knockout tie in a competition that perhaps represents their best route back into the Champions League.

Heung-min Son was asked in his pre-match press conference about the rumours that Mourinho was losing the Tottenham dressing room.

Football London indicate that the South Korean laughed at the question before insisting that it was merely a bad rumour. He added that the dressing room is generally happy, although they are not satisfied when they lose.

Son said (Football London): “(Laughs) The rumour is just rumours.

“Our dressing room is fantastic. It’s just about results. We’re happy if we win and sad if we lose. The dressing room has not changed though.

“Everyone is happy and focused on the games ahead. What can I said, that’s a bad rumour.”
