Heung-min Son reveals the former Tottenham star he misses playing with

Heung-min Son has admitted that he misses the fact that Christian Eriksen is no longer a Tottenham Hotspur player.

The midfielder left North London in January of last year having completed a £16.9milion transfer to Inter Milan, ending a six and a half year spell with Spurs.

Eriksen claimed that after he revealed just days after the Champions League final defeat to Liverpool that he wanted to seek a new challenge, he was made to feel like the ‘black sheep’ with some fans having turned against him (BBC).

The 29-year-old experienced a tough start to life under Antonio Conte at Inter, having failed to hold down a regular first team place in the side and was heavily linked with a loan move back to Tottenham in the January transfer window with the player said to have been keen to return in order to play more often (Sky Sports).

The Dane’s fortunes have improved since the window closed, having featured in every Serie A match since February 14th and scored the winning goal against Crotone on Saturday which later saw them crowned as champions of Italy.

Son admitted that he wishes that Eriksen was South Korean so they could play together at an international level.

He told Danish news outlet TV3 having sung the praises of Eriksen along with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg: “They are both fantastic players. I miss Christian a lot because he is a great player. I could watch him play all day long. Danes should be very proud of him. I’m jealous because I wish he was South Korean so I could play with him on the national team.”
