Tottenham forward Son Heung-Min was quick to send his thanks to the Spurs fans after he scooped the Premier League golden boot on the final day of the season (Tottenham Twitter).
Spurs showed their ruthless side to dispatch 20th placed Norwich at Carrow Road on Sunday afternoon.
Braces from Son and Dejan Kulusevski as well as a Harry Kane header saw the Lilywhites run out 5-0 winners and claim a spot in next season’s Champions League.
Son capped off what has been an incredible season for himself with a double that sees him finish in joint-first position in the goalscoring charts along with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah (Premier League).
The South Korean showed his delight at the prospect of the award as he curled in a stunning fifth for Spurs, however, speaking to Spurs TV after he was presented with the Golden Boot, he was as modest as ever.
He said: “Hi guys, Sonny here. Thank you so much for this big big award. Without you guys, I probably couldn’t have made it. Again, thank you to the team, thank you to the staff and thank you to the club who have given me this big big opportunity.
“I can’t wait to see you next season. We move to the Champions League where we belong and I can’t wait to see you there. Come on you Spurs!”.
