Tottenham Hotspur fans are set for an emotional moment, with Heung-min Son’s return to north London now confirmed.
Many Tottenham Hotspur fans never got the opportunity to tell club legend Heung-min Son goodbye after his decade long stay in north London.
An emotional Son announced his departure from Tottenham during the club’s pre-season tour of Asia in front of his hometown fans, before taking to the pitch for a final time in Tottenham’s pre-season clash against Newcastle.
The friendly match ended 1-1, and that was the last Spurs fans saw of their club legend, who hoisted the club’s only piece of silverware since 2008 last season after Tottenham’s triumph in Bilbao, Spain, before moving to MLS side LA FC.

Tottenham confirm Heung-min Son return to say farewell
A return to north London to tell Tottenham fans a proper goodbye is something Son has spoken about, and now the club has confirmed it.
On their official website, Spurs have now confirmed that Heung-min Son will return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the first time since leaving the club to bid farewell to the home fans.
He is set to return on Tuesday 9 December at Tottenham’s UEFA Champions League fixture with SK Slavia Praha, as Spurs fight for a top eight place in the Champions League league phase.
The Korean international will definitely be rooting for Thomas Frank’s side to secure a victory in the Champions League fixture, as they hope to progress deep into the competition.
Spurs Champions League push could hinge on home form
At the moment Spurs still have a chance of making it into the automatic qualification places in the Champions League, despite sitting in 16th place and two points away from eighth.
There are still three games to be played, with ties against Slavia Praha and Dortmund at home, and then a final trip to Frankfurt in Germany.
Spurs will need to secure a victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in front of their former captain to give themselves a chance of making it into eighth place.
Last season 12 points were enough for teams to secure a top eight spot, and if that proves to be the case again this campaign, Tottenham may only need four points from their three remaining fixtures.
