Heung-min Son set to jet off to Austria for double header

Son Heung-min has been named in South Korea’s squad for their upcoming international friendlies against Mexico and Qatar (Yonhap News Agency).

Even though we are just a matter of weeks on from the last international break, the next one is now just around the corner.

All but a few first-team players from the Tottenham squad are expected to jet off around the world following their Premier League game against West Bromwich Albion this weekend.

Son was one of the few Spurs stars to stay at Hotspur Way during the last international break but the forward will join up with the South Korean squad this time out.

While the majority of the Tottenham stars will be involved in Nations League action or World Cup qualifiers, Son will fly to Austria for two friendly matches on November 14 and 17, respectively.

Jose Mourinho certainly will not be pleased to be losing his in-form forward for friendlies but he will be hoping that his compatriot, Paulo Bento will rest the 28-year-old for at least one of the two matches.
