Heung-min Son sets Spurs goal target for Richarlison ahead of Asian Cup exit

Son Heung-min has praised Richarlison for his impressive displays over recent weeks and challenged the Brazilian to get more than 15 goals in the Premier League this season.

Since returning from his groin surgery, Richarlison has found the back of the net four times in four starts and the 26-year-old looks a completely different player now that he is playing with confidence.

The former Everton man confessed in an interview with The Daily Mail earlier this month that the pelvic issue that he was suffering from was so painful that he was hesitant to even take shots.

The striker certainly appears to be moving a lot freely since his surgery and Ange Postecoglou stated recently that there is even more to come from his number nine (Football 365).

Son wants Richarlison to score 15 goals this season

Just like his manager, Spurs captain, Son, has now also challenged Richarlison to continue in his current vein of form, insisting that the striker is capable of scoring more than 15 goals this season.

The South Korean said (via The Mirror) about the striker: “Everybody is very happy for him and very pleased. Richy has to know that he has to score more goals when you play for Spurs.

“He needs to score more than 15 goals to be a striker. Richy is the type of guy who will want to score more and I hope he continues to so he can help the team.”

Spurs Web Opinion

If Richalison can avoid injuries, he will certainly fancy his chances of scoring 15 to 20 goals this season, given the number of chances that Tottenham create each game. In fact, the forward might even be setting his sights a bit higher.
