Heung-min Son wishes he had this skill in his locker to help new boy Ndombele

Tottenham took to the pitch for the first time since June on Saturday in an exhilarating encounter with Serie A champions, Juventus.

With key players rested in the first half, it might have come as a bit of a disappointment to not see Spurs’ record-breaking new signing from the start.

Instead, Tanguy Ndombele came onto the pitch shortly after the break but didn’t take long to impress. With his first touch, Ndombele showed Spurs fans what could be in store for them next season, by expertly setting up Lucas for the 2-2 equaliser.

Of course, Ndombele could take time to settle into the Spurs first team, but with the help of his teammates and Mauricio Pochettino, he should thrive.

And, one player has already tried to make him feel at home, and cannot wait to see what he brings to the team.

Heung-min Son speaks highly of Ndombele and has huge praise for him (Football London): “I’m really, really enjoying being with him. He’s a funny guy.

“I’ve tried to speak to him, we understand each other very, very well.

“I can’t wait to play together. He’s an unbelievable player we’ve signed. He needs time, the players next to him have to help.”

Spurs’ forever smiling Son did say one thing, however:

“I wish I could speak French! I’ve tried to speak a lot to him – I don’t know if it’s helpful!”

Spurs Web Opinion:
