Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting on social media with their thoughts on the first-half performance they have witnessed against Chelsea this evening.
Tottenham gifted the home side the lead in just the fourth minute of the Carabao Cup semi final first leg when a poor pass from Japhet Tanganga saw Kai Havertzn sneak ahead of Emerson Royal and saw his shot turned into his own net by Davinson Sanchez.
Antonio Conte would certainly have been hoping for a better start to the cup tie with his side failing to get anything going in the final third of the pitch and the traffic has been all one way.
Chelsea added a second in absolutely farcical fashion when Tanganga tried to head the ball back up the pitch from a free-kick into the box, only for the ball to cannon off Ben Davies and into the back of Hugo Lloris’ net.
Here is a selection of reaction from some fellow Spurs fans on the opening forty-five minutes of action under the lights at Stamford Bridge with their side currently losing 2-0.
Tanganga needs a loan more than Rodon. Did wonders for Skipp and could for him as well

Get Harry Winks on in the second half. We need to sign two attacking wingbacks and another center forward urgently.

We’ve been dreadful. Something different in the 2nd half is needed. Lost every battle apart from the one in the stands. Fans been brilliant.

I’ve seen some dreadful full backs in my 40 years watching these clowns. Royal is up there with the worst.

Our performance is bordering indescribable, you would have no idea that this is a semi-final. #THFC

For someone who claims to be desperate to win things, Harry Kane sure likes playing as if he's hungover in big cup games for Spurs. We've been horrible, true, but his movement and effort is non-existent. #thfc
