Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to share their reaction to their side’s first half performance against Newcastle United.
The game started in the worst possible manner for Nuno Espirito Santo’s team when the Magpies went ahead inside of the opening couple of minutes.
Javier Manquillo was found on the right after Tottenham give the ball away and his cross found the head of Callum Wilson to dive in and score with his head after timing his run perfectly ahead of Cristian Romero.
Fifteen minutes later, an excellent finish from Tanguy Ndombele brought Spurs level, the midfielder was played in on the edge of the box by Sergio Reguilon and made no mistake with a curling effort into the corner of the net.
Spurs went ahead for the first time on 23 minutes when a brilliant finish from Harry Kane, saw the striker latch on to the ball behind the home defence to reach Pierre Emile Hojbjerg’s pass and flicked the ball superbly past the onrushing Karl Darlow.
It was nearly 3-1 six minutes before the break when Lucas Moura’s brilliant leap from a corner resulted in his header crashing back off the crossbar.
The game was rightly temporarily suspended for a medical emergency within the far side of the St James’ Park stand.
After the resumption, Spurs did get their third when Lucas Moura played Harry Kane in to square the ball back across the six-yard box for Heung-min Son to slide home.
Here is a selection of thoughts from the Spurs faithful:
First 10-15 minutes weren’t the best but we picked it up, COYS, Hope the fan is ok 👍🏾

Apart from the Twitter warriors giving it laldy after 3 minutes. I’m pretty happy with that half of football, comfortable in all areas. Well balanced also 👍🏼👍🏼

Really hope that person in the crowd is okay 🙏
Like Dyer said at HT "football is nothing compared to life".
Love the fight after going a goal down, great half from Kane. Skippy everywhere, but honestly more important that the person is alright 🤍
