Tottenham Hotspur capped off a brilliant week by beating Bayern Munich on penalties last night to lift the Audi Cup.
Spurs started the game off as the better side and took the lead through Erik Lamela in the first half.
Spurs doubled the lead in the second half courtesy of a well-taken strike from Christian Eriksen only for the hosts to hit back with a quickfire double and send the game to a penalty shootout.
Tottenham’s young guns held their nerve in the shootout to come out on top after Paulo Gazzaniga saved Jerome Boateng’s sudden death penalty.
The win caps off what has been an impressive pre-season so far for the Lilywhites, which has seen them get the better of Juventus, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich.
Tottenham will now play Inter Milan at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday in their final pre-season game before they welcome Aston Villa to the venue for their first Premier League match on August 10th.
Here’s how some of the Spurs players reacted on social media to the victory.

Spurs Web Opinion
One of the most positive things to come out of preseason so far has been the performance of the academy products. Many of the youngsters who have been part of the squad for preseason games including Oliver Skipp and Troy Parrott have now staked their claim for a 1st team spot.
