Alejo Veliz is finally getting his career back on track at his boyhood club following his struggles at Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham’s attempts to sell Veliz to Brazilian club Bahia in January collapsed as the club was unable to terminate the striker’s loan spell with Rosario Central prematurely.
This was reportedly because the Spurs striker was keen to see out the rest of his loan spell in Argentina after a strong showing on his return to Rosario.
The 22-year-old may have struggled to make an impression in Europe, but he has managed to get his career back on track in his home country.

Tottenham youngster Alejo Veliz continues to impress for Rosario Central
Football.London have revealed that Tottenham is continuing to pop up with key goals for his boyhood club, just as he did before making the switch to Spurs.
The outlet reveals that Veliz came on as a substitute to play half an hour in the clash against Sarmiento last Monday, and he found the back of the net as Rosario emerged 2-1 winners.
The 22-year-old then came off the bench to play 30 minutes of the 2-1 victory at Estudiantes last Friday before starting and playing 80 minutes on Wednesday in the 3-0 win at UCV in the Copa Libertadores.
Veliz has now scored five times in 1,329 minutes of football this season, spread over 18 appearances, and he has now scored 29 goals overall for Rosario.
Spurs have already agreed a deal to sell Veliz
Reports indicate that an agreement is in place for Bahia to complete a €9m (£7.8m) deal for Veliz in the summer, with the striker expected to have his medical in June.
This is also backed up by this latest update from Football.London, who say that along with the fee, the deal also includes €1m (£871k) in add-ons, while Tottenham retain a 20 per cent sell-on clause.
If the Argentine continues developing at the same pace that he is, a future return to Europe is on the cards for the striker, and Spurs may be in line for a financial boost.
