Tottenham Hotspur had a strange start to the 2018/19 campaign in the Premier League, as they picked up some decent results without playing particularly well.
The standout game from the opening five matches certainly came in the form of a 3-0 away win at Old Trafford, with Spurs also picking up a 3-1 win over Fulham at Wembley and a 2-1 win over Newcastle away.
Tottenham picked up losses in their fourth and fifth games against Watford and Liverpool last time out.
Rather ironically, the only game that Spurs have lost this season so far came against the Magpies, with Spurs losing 1-0 at home.
Tottenham have picked up away draws against Man City and Arsenal, as well as wins at home over Aston Villa and Crystal Palace this season.
As a result, Spurs are actually only 1 point worse off this season compared to their tally after five games in the 2018/19 campaign (Express).
I would argue that Tottenham have also had a harder start this time around with two of the toughest away fixtures on the calendar already out the way.
This is impressive when you remember that Tottenham went on to record their best-ever Premier League start last year, with 42 points from 18 games in December (Marca).
Can they go on another run like that this year?
