How close is Kane to Jimmy Greaves’ title as all-time leading Spurs scorer?

Harry Kane became Tottenham’s all-time leading European goal scorer with his strike against Borussia Dortmund last week, overtaking fan favourite Jermain Defoe in the process.

But how close is Kane to being Tottenham’s all time leading scorer in all competitions?

Kane is currently fourth in this particular list, with the Spurs legend Jimmy Greaves obviously at the top of the tree.

Bobby Smith and Martin Chivers sit in between Kane and Greaves, and will be Harry’s next two targets in his quest to become top scorer.

Kane currently has 164 goals in 248 games for Spurs, only ten behind Martin Chivers. Kane also has a better goals per game record than Chivers, with 0.66 compared to 0.47.

Bobby Smith also boasts a goal per game record of 0.66, but has 208 goals in 317 games for the Lilywhites.

Jimmy Greaves is head and shoulders above the rest on both accounts with a goal per game ration of 0.7 and 266 goals in 379 games.

This leaves Kane 102 goals behind the top dog, which is definitely an achievable aim for the England captain, although he will have to score these in the next 131 games if he is to match Greaves’ goals per game.
