Omar Marmoush left Manchester City to sign for Tottenham Hotspur last week, as the forward looks to prove himself in the Premier League after struggling for starts at the Etihad Stadium.
Marmoush’s debut for Tottenham did not go the way the forward would have wanted, with the Lilywhites suffering a 2-0 loss at home to Newcastle United.
However, the Egyptian was involved in a controversial moment in the second period as he appeared to have been fouled in the box by Newcastle defender Malick Thiaw, but referee Peter Bankes waved away his appeals.
The forward will be hoping to score his first Spurs goal this Saturday, as he looks set to lead the line again at the City Ground.

Based on the reaction of the City players to Marmoush’s exit, it appears that the 27-year-old was very popular in the dressing room.
Erling Haaland’s presence at the Etihad is the reason the former Eintracht Frankfurt man did not get much game time, but it seems that the pair have a good relationship on the pitch.
Bidding goodbye to his former teammate, Haaland wished Marmoush well at N17 before joking: “You better not ghost me on Snapchat.”
In a separate video, Phil Foden and Rayan Cherki are also seen saying their farewells to the forward and wishing him the best.
Can Marmoush be the answer to Spurs’ issues in front of goal?
Tottenham have not had a striker who could put the ball in the back of the net with regularity since Harry Kane left three years ago.
While Dominic Solanke has a decent goals-to-minutes ratio for Spurs, the Englishman simply has not been able to remain fit since his big-money move from Bournemouth.
De Zerbi’s men are thus reliant on Marmoush to provide them with the goals, and the new signing needs to get at least 15-20 goals if Spurs are to have a shot at challenging for Champions League qualification.
