How far away six Tottenham players are from yellow card PL suspension

Rodrigo Bentancur is just two yellow cards away from being suspended for one Premier League game.

The Premier League’s rules state that players who receive five bookings within the first half of the season (19 Premier League games), will have to serve a suspension for one game ban.

Meanwhile, ones who accumulate ten yellow cards before their team’s 32nd fixture will have to serve a two-match ban. Bookings accumulated in the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup will not be considered in this total.

According to the Premier League, Rodrigo Bentanur, Harry Kane, Richarlison, Yves Bissouma, and Ivan Perisic have already been cautioned two times in Tottenham’s first seven Premier League matches of the season.

This means that if any of these players pick up three more yellows within the next 12 games, they will have to serve a one-match ban.

Perisic was shown his second caution of the season when he ran onto the pitch to celebrate Son Heung-min’s first goal against Leicester City on Saturday.

Bentancur and Hojbjerg are the two who are under the most threat of picking up a one-match man before gameweek 19 as both players are prone to yellow cards.
