Tottenham Hotspur have a number of promising youth players out on loan this season, with the hope of impressing Pochettino by playing some regular football away from Spurs.

One man who will be hoping to play his way into Poch’s plans is USA international centre back Cameron Carter-Vickers.

CCV has been around the fringes of the Spurs first team for a few years now, despite still only being 21-years of age.

The defender was loaned out to Championship side Swansea for the season, where he has found it difficult to get consistent time on the pitch.

His start against Bristol City at the weekend was just his eight in the Championship this season, but it could be the turning point for him in Wales.

Despite losing the game, Carter-Vickers was immense at the back, racking up two interceptions, four clearances, and countless last-ditch tackles to prevent his side from humiliation.

He will be hoping to kick on and earn a regular starting spot from now on.
