Tottenham Hotspur have only been back in training for a couple of days, but they have already announced new contracts for two of their first-team stars.

Harry Winks and Ben Davies both penned new deals that will run until 2024 (Tottenham), with Winks coming through the academy system at Spurs and Davies joining from Swansea in 2014.

The priority now should be to extend the contracts of Vertonghen, Alderweireld, Skipp, Dier, Sissoko, and Rose.

You didn’t mention eriksen and while I’m on board with off loading him the fact is Madrid has backed off significantly with the return of zidane and no one else seems ready to pay any significant fee at the moment to get him so I think we need to be open to giving him a new deal rather than give him up for much less than his worth or even worse for nothing in 11 months
