Attacking Midfield and Strikers – How Long On Their Contracts, Who Should Come and Who Should Go?
As the summer 2018 transfer window draws to a close, fans are restless about transfer news for the coming season. We seem resigned to losing Toby. We seem happy that some youngsters are coming along, such as Luke Amos. There appears to be some consensus that what we really need now is some pace and creativity in the final third to help give us a squad that has depth.
What of the longer term? Should we wait and scrabble about at the end of each transfer window or should we be buying now with an eye to the future? To buy we would need to sell.
What are the club’s ambitions? If it is to win the Premier League and the Champions League, do we have the squad to do those things?
With all this in mind, and looking at the contract expiry dates below, when should we be looking for replacements and additions and who should we be looking to buy and sell in the short and long term?
Last time we looked at goalkeepers, backs, defensive and central midfield. This time we are looking at attacking midfield and strikers.
