With Tottenham interested in a move for West Ham United midfielder Mateus Fernandes, we have taken a look at his current salary and where he would rank within Spurs’ existing wage structure if he were to make the switch to North London.
Tottenham Hotspur have continued their squad overhaul this summer, having completed the signing of three players thus far.
Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson and Jan Paul van Hecke currently stand as the three pieces of business done by the Lilywhites since the opening of the summer window on June 15.
There is an expectation, however, that more is yet to come, with several players continuing to be linked with a move to N17.
Both Sandro Tonali and, more recently, Mateus Fernandes have been linked with a move to Tottenham.
Spurs are said to be keen on securing a move for both midfielders this transfer window. If they are to achieve that, they will surely have to break their club-record signing twice.
Tonali is currently valued at £100m, while Fernandes is valued at £80m.

How much Mateus Fernandes currently earns at West Ham per week
Spurs Web have now taken a look at the wages of Fernandes at West Ham United to see where he would rank within Tottenham’s current wage structure.
At West Ham, the 21-year-old is currently one of their highest-paid players, ranking among the club’s top 10 earners.
He is currently on £60,000 per week and £3,120,000 per year, with a bonus of £780,000, taking his annual earnings up to £3,900,000.
Fernandes would fit comfortably into Tottenham’s wage structure
With such a respectable weekly salary, Fernandes would fit right into Tottenham’s current wage structure, which has players capped at around £200,000 per week.

In fact, should he move to Tottenham on his current wages, he would be among the club’s top 20 earners, on the same salary as Lucas Bergvall, who is also believed to earn £60,000 per week.
Spurs could, of course, easily double the Portuguese midfielder’s wages and still have no issues with their current wage bill.
However, while the salary will not be a major concern, the biggest issue for Spurs would be having to cough up the enormous £80m that West Ham are demanding.
