Details regarding Tottenham Hotspur’s latest offer to Brighton for Jan Paul van Hecke have now emerged as Spurs continue to push for the centre-back’s signature.

Tottenham Hotspur are clearly not backing down in their pursuit of Jan Paul van Hecke this summer transfer window.

Spurs Web has since reported that Spurs’ first bid for Van Hecke was rejected, while the Seagulls CEO has revealed that Brighton has since turned down two bids from Tottenham.

Despite that, Tottenham have persisted in their efforts to secure the signature of Van Hecke, who has just 12 months left on his current deal. It is understood that personal terms have been agreed between the player and Spurs.

Tottenham submit fresh Jan Paul van Hecke bid

TeamTalk has now confirmed that Tottenham have submitted a third bid in an attempt to convince Brighton to sell Van Hecke this summer.

It is explained that Tottenham’s latest proposal was worth around £50m (€58m), including add-ons for the 26-year-old centre-back.

However, that still falls short of Brighton’s £70m (€81m) valuation of the Dutchman, with the Seagulls understood to have maintained their stance throughout negotiations.

The report, though, ends on a positive note, claiming that despite the gap that still exists between the two clubs’ valuations, sources on both sides remain optimistic that a compromise can be found.

Spurs hope Roberto De Zerbi can seal Jan Paul van Hecke deal

Spurs Web has since revealed that Van Hecke wants the deal completed before the World Cup kicks off as he aims to remain fully focused during the tournament.

The Netherlands play their opening game on Sunday, which should give Spurs this week to reach an agreement with Brighton.

Personal terms should not be an issue, as it is explained that Van Hecke has made it clear to other suitors that it is Spurs he wants to join, with Roberto De Zerbi playing a big role in that decision.
