How Spurs can go top of the league come Monday

Tottenham Hotspur play Manchester City on Monday in perhaps their biggest test in the Premier League so far this season.

Spurs are enjoying their best ever start to a domestic campaign, without really hitting the heights in terms of form.

Pochettino has been missing several key men over the past few months, however Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Mousa Dembele are all now back in the squad.

This will hopefully kick the team up a gear and see a return to the fluid, attacking style of play fans are used to.

In recent weeks the team seems to have missed that spar of creativity with their playmakers on the side lines.

Tottenham must take the City game by the scruff of the neck and make it a physical affair from the offset.

The pitch will be torn up after the NFL game tomorrow, and may prevent any kind on consistent passing football, especially from the back.

This will disrupt both teams’ usually style of play, but Spurs are far more adaptable to getting physical than the City line up.

If Tottenham can bully their way past the champions, and Liverpool drop points, Tottenham could see themselves joint top of the league come the end of play.
