How to pronounce the name of Spurs’ £65 million record new signing

After weeks of speculation Tottenham Hotspur have now officially confirmed the signing of French international Tanguy Ndombele.

Ndombele was one of football’s hottest properties this summer with Juventus, PSG, Manchester City and Manchester United reportedly interested in the central midfielder as well as Tottenham (Bleacher Report).

Now that the signing has been officially confirmed by the club Spurs fans across the globe can breathe a huge sigh of relief. After securing a new record signing Spurs fans will undoubtedly be looking to gloat about their new record signing and to do so they’ll need to be able to pronounce the Frenchman’s name properly.

In a 2017 press conference Lyon President, Jean-Michael Aulas very carefully pronounced Ndombele’s name as ‘Ton-gee Dom-belee’. The President went on to confirm that Ndombele himself had informed him of the correct pronunciation (Football London).

At last. Finally, the deal is done. It seems like an absolute age since we were first linked with Ndombele at the start of the summer window and now, thankfully, the deal has been completed.

Ndombele looks to be exactly the type of player who we have been missing in the centre of the park and I’m sure that with his physicality as well as his excellent technique he will quickly settle into life in the Premier League.
