Tottenham’s 26-27 Premier League campaign is set to kick off this weekend with a clash against Brentford, and here’s how to watch it.

After a hectic pre-season camp, attention is now set to turn to the Premier League for Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.

The 26-27 league season marks Spurs’ 34th campaign in the English top flight, with the Lilywhites yet to have been relegated.

Tottenham, however, came so close to dropping into the English second division last season, but with De Zerbi’s help, the Lilywhites managed to avoid the drop and finished two points clear of 18th place.

The former Brighton manager is now set to take charge of Tottenham for the first time in a full season as Spurs look to improve on their disappointing 17th-place finish in the last two seasons.

Spurs team news vs Brentford

Roberto De Zerbi still has a few injuries to worry about ahead of Spurs’ clash against Brentford. Xavi Simons, Wilson Odobert, Dejan Kulusevski and Mohammed Kudus remain sidelined and are set to miss out.

Destiny Udogie and Micky van de Ven are doubts, with the pair having not featured in pre-season and potentially low on fitness, while it is touch-and-go with Solanke, who is nursing an ankle injury.

As for Brentford, Benjamin Fredrick and Sepp van den Berg are out and are expected to miss Saturday’s game.

Spurs hope strong start can set the tone

Getting off to a winning start will be perfect for Roberto De Zerbi and his side, as it would help to build up Tottenham’s confidence.

However, an away game against Brentford is never easy, especially for Spurs, who have managed just the one win in their last five visits to the Gtech Community Stadium.

It is a difficult game to call, but one would expect Tottenham to have enough to just about avoid a defeat on Saturday evening.

Score Prediction: Brentford 2-2 Tottenham Hotspur
