Tottenham Hotspur return to Premier League action almost immediately following their latest setback, with attention quickly shifting to the game against Newcastle United as Thomas Frank’s side look to respond. Here’s how to watch the clash between Tottenham and Newcastle on Tuesday night.
Tottenham Hotspur do not have to wait long to take to the pitch once more in the Premier League following their defeat to Manchester United last weekend.
Newcastle United are up next for Thomas Frank’s men who are winless in 2026. Spurs suffered a painful 2-0 loss after Bryan Mbeumo and Bruno Fernandes handed United a first win against the Lilywhites in their last eight meetings.
With games coming thick and fast, Frank cannot afford to dwell long on his loss, as his side are back in action this week.

Spurs and Newcastle team news ahead of Tuesday’s Premier League clash
Spurs still have several injuries to contend with coming into this encounter. Destiny Udogie was the latest to join the treatment table after picking up a knock against Manchester United, leaving him to be taken off, with Souza making his debut.
Cristian Romero, although not injured, is unavailable for this clash after his sending off against United, with the Argentine set to miss the next four outings for Tottenham.
Djed Spence could well return for Frank after the Dane revealed that the full-back was edging closer to a return before the United game.
Meanwhile, the usual names remain sidelined. Still on the treatment table are Rodrigo Bentancur, Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, Lucas Bergvall, Mohammed Kudus and Ben Davies, while Kevin Danso is out with no return date pencilled in.
Newcastle United also have a number of injury concerns ahead of the trip to north London. Emil Krafth is sidelined with a knee injury, while Fabian Schar is dealing with an ankle problem.
Valentino Livramento is out with a hamstring injury, with Joelinton also unavailable due to a thigh issue. Lewis Miley remains doubtful with a knee concern, while Anthony Gordon is sidelined with a hamstring injury.
Spurs need points as relegation pressure looms
Spurs do need to start getting points on the board, especially with their relegation rivals picking up points around them.
At the moment, six points is the difference between Frank’s side and 18th-placed West Ham United after last week’s round of games.
Tottenham fans have since expressed their fears of a full-on relegation scrap given their side’s poor run of form that has seen them win twice in their last 16 outings.
Newcastle’s form is not the best either, with Eddie Howe’s men losing their last three games in the league, giving Tottenham some hope.
Score prediction: Tottenham 2-2 Newcastle United
