How Tottenham can move into fourth place in the Premier League today

Tottenham currently sit in sixth in the Premier League table, just three points behind Chelsea who occupy the last Champions League spot.

Wolves are in fifth one point ahead of Spurs, and Sheffield United are in seventh, behind Tottenham by just one goal difference point.

Therefore, for this weekend at least, the fight is between these four clubs to take that fourth-place spot in the table.

Luckily for Spurs, they are up first this weekend against Norwich, with the other three sides all playing on Sunday.

Any kind of win for Spurs today at Carrow Road would be enough to take them above Chelsea and Wolves into fourth for at least a day, as they overtake the Blues on goal difference.

However, any result for Chelsea tomorrow, a win for Wolves, or a convincing win from Sheffield could displace the Lilywhites once again.

Losses for all three clubs tomorrow and Spurs would be fourth heading into the new year.

What is important to note is that Spurs are now in a position that they can break into the top four, even if it is only for a matter of hours. Four weeks ago, they were closer to the bottom four.
