How Tottenham can qualify in the Champions League

Tottenham Hotspur just about kept their Champions League season alive last night against PSV.

Pochettino’s side went 1-0 down after just two minutes on the clock, but fought back with two very late goals from Harry Kane to take all three points.

The result was enough to all but secure their Europa League spot moving forward at the very least, but Spurs can still qualify for the Champions League knock outs.

Barcelona have already qualified for the next round, and will likely finish top of the group, but the second place spot is still up for grabs for both Inter Milan and Spurs.

Tottenham currently sit on 4 points with a home fixture against Inter and a trip to the Camp Nou to come.

Inter Milan are on 7 points with an away fixture against Spurs and a seemingly nothing match against PSV.

Tottenham must first beat Inter Milan at home to continue their chances, but must realistically also defeat the Italians by at least two goals.

This is because Inter are extremely likely to beat PSV in their final match, and so even if Tottenham win away to Barca, they will still only draw level on points with Milan.

It will then go to head to head against Inter, and after Milan won their home fixture by a goal, Tottenham will need to win by two to edge ahead.

So in short, a confident win against Inter Milan and three points at the Nou Camp to keep marching on.
