Roberto De Zerbi has not managed to get Tottenham Hotspur off to the start the club’s hierarchy would have hoped for after backing him heavily in the summer.
One can argue that no Spurs manager in recent history has received the kind of backing that De Zerbi has from the club.
The Lilywhites signed 10 new players while moving on even more, managing to complete a full squad rebuild in a single window.
However, Spurs are yet to click as a team on the pitch following the wholesale changes to the squad, having just one point and no goals to show from their first three games.

Roberto De Zerbi continues to have the full trust of the Tottenham board
The Italian is starting to be put under pressure by the media after the club’s poor start to the season, but that is not the case internally.
This is according to Football Insider, who reveal that Spurs are ready to give De Zerbi the time he needs to deliver the kind of results they want.
There are absolutely no questions about the 46-year-old’s future at Tottenham, with the club hierarchy feeling there is plenty of time for things to improve.
The report says that De Zerbi has plenty of credit in the bank for taking over Spurs at a precarious time and keeping them in the Premier League.
The former Brighton boss has the trust of the Tottenham board, and he will be given time to set things right despite the frustrations regarding the team’s poor start to the season.

Former PL club’s CEO expects Spurs to be patient with De Zerbi
Football Witness also spoke to former Everton and Aston Villa CEO Keith Wyness, who is no stranger to decisions on hiring and firing managers.
Wyness believes that the Lilywhites will be patient and give De Zerbi the time he needs to knit things together, given the sweeping changes that have been made to their squad.
The former Everton chief said: “He did a good job in the short-term to keep Spurs up, and now the club have invested heavily in the summer to reshape the squad, so it will take time for these players to bed in.
“They have to get used to their new surroundings to perform at the highest level, and Tottenham are willing to give them time and give De Zerbi time for that to happen despite these early problems.”
