How Tottenham next four Premier League games compare to top four rivals

The domestic season resumes on Boxing Day, and here we have a look at how Tottenham Hotspur’s next four matches line up compared to the fixture list of rival teams like Arsenal, Chelsea, and Newcastle United.

The first half of the campaign has been a mixed bag so far for Spurs, but overall, Antonio Conte will arguably be happy. When the season paused for the World Cup, the Lilywhites were fourth in the Premier League and had qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Some poor performances, most notably in the defeats to Newcastle United and Arsenal, have been very disappointing. So too, was the nature of the Carabao Cup exit to Nottingham Forest, ending hopes of winning that competition for the first time since 2008.

Nevertheless, Spurs’ last competitive match was a thrilling 4-3 win against Leeds United on November 12, and it is hoped that momentum can be carried through this next run of fixtures as the club looks to start as they mean to go on for the second half of the season.

Spurs Web Opinion

Tottenham will fancy their chances in those first three games after the break, against teams who have largely struggled this season. The North London Derby will be huge, and we have to get revenge for the reverse fixture earlier this term.

The one positive looking at the other team’s fixtures is, a lot of them appear to be more congested than Spurs’ schedule, and a lot of the big teams are playing each other, too. The table will look very different after these rounds of fixtures, and hopefully Spurs can come through it in good shape.
