How Tottenham should use the high they are in to achieve transfer progress

Tottenham Hotspur enjoyed one of the best nights in their recent club history this week, as the team qualified for their first ever Champions League semi final.

It wasn’t just the qualification either, it was the way in which Spurs achieved it, beating Manchester City across two legs.

The dream was dangled and snatched away time and time again over the course of the second leg on Wednesday night, but Spurs eventually reigned supreme.

Despite losing the Premier League fixture against the same opponents yesterday, Tottenham fans, players, staff, and anyone associated with the club will still be flying high.

Tottenham should now use the feeling of euphoria, mixed with the excitement around the new stadium, to conduct some transfer business.

The futures of both Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld are both uncertain beyond this summer, as they each enter the final year of their deals.

However, after hearing the atmosphere at the new ground and making history against City, surely now is the time to strike with lucrative new deals.

That way Spurs can get them signed up ASAP, and spend the summer thinking only of new stars to bring into the club in order to push for 2019/20 silverware.
