Tottenham midfielder Tom Huddlestone is determined to qualify for the Champions League.

Huddlestone scored the winner in Tottenham’s 1-0 victory against Bolton on Saturday and admits that Wednesday’s game at Manchester City is the arguably biggest of his Spurs career.

He said: “Apart from a cup final at Wembley, it’s probably the biggest game of my time with Tottenham.

“I was here four years ago when we played West Ham on the last day of the season with a chance of finishing fourth.

“I remember the feeling of desolation after we lost, and we don’t want to go through that again.

“There are still quite a few lads here who were involved that afternoon, so we know the hurt, and hopefully we’ve got a chance to put it right this time.

“I was among those struck down by the bug and I didn’t play, which is just as well. I couldn’t move or breathe, but it was devastating to miss out on the top four.”
