Huddlestone on the move?

Another story broken on Sky Sports News this morning claims that Tottenham are preparing to send central midfielder Tom Huddlestone out on a season long loan to gain first team experience after recovering from a series of injury problems that saw him miss the majority of last season.

Huddlestone was forced to have a number of ankle operations last year following his injuries and has not featured in a competitive game since last August against Manchester City. The former England international has now regained his fitness and featured heavily in Tottenham’s preseason tour of America a few weeks ago, suggested that he would have a part to play for Spurs in the current domestic campaign.

According to SSN however, Huddlestone has fallen down the pecking after being left out of the squad for our season opener against Newcastle with new manager AVB happy to send the pass specialist out on loan to get himself back to match fitness.

The player is also reported as keen to spend the next year on loan as a host of Premier League clubs hunt for his signature, with Stoke City apparently leading the race.

The report on SSN however came with absolutely no evidence to back up its claims and this story therefore remains nothing but speculation at the moment. Should the story be true it would come as a major disappointment for Tottenham fans as despite his injury problems Huddlestone has remained a fans favourite at the Lane.
